Bringing my final sketches to life was a chaotic yet exhilarating process. I aimed to capture the true essence of my collection by blending traditional aesthetics from old Kathmandu with modern contemporary wear. For example, traditional garments such as the 'Gunyo Cholo,' a Nepalese blouse and skirt often paired with a shawl, the 'Haku Patasi,' a black sari with red borders worn by the indigenous Newari inhabitants of Kathmandu, and the 'Patuka,' a firm waistband worn for both practicality and style, provided valuable references. I integrated these elements with modern tailoring, volumes, asymmetrical shirts, and much more. This fusion allowed me to craft unique silhouettes that reflect both historical elegance and contemporary style. It was a delightful journey, using my signature techniques to transform inspiration into expressive designs.
